Schedule Past Speakers Join us for Exploring the Faith on first Saturdays. This new series explores various aspects of the Catholic faith. Learn to know, love, live and defend your Catholic faith. Sessions will be held at The Church of the Nativity (1225 Alta Vista St., Dubuque) in the O'Brien Room. Sessions will run from about 9:00 am - 10:30am following the 8 a.m. Mass.

Fr. Henry Huber...
  spoke on "The Eucharist".    
Fr. Huber was ordained to the priesthood for the Archdiocese of Dubuque in June of 2002. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University and a Master's degree in Spirituality from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas (the Angelicum). Fr. Huber is currently the Associate Pastor of Blessed Trinity Cluster of parishes, centered on Manchester, Iowa.

Fr. Brian Dellaert...
  spoke on "Forgiveness of Sins".    
Fr. Dellaert was ordained to the priesthood for the Archdiocese of Dubuque in June of 2005. He holds a bachelor's degree in theology at the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum) and a Licentiate in Sacred Theology (S.T.L.) from the Pontifical Gregorian University with a specialization in dogmatic theology. Father Dellaert is currently the Associate Pastor at Saint Jude's Parish in Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Deacon Jim Thill...
 spoke on "Salvation".    
Deacon Jim Thill is a Certified Pastoral Associate in the Archdiocese of Dubuque. In June of 2005 Deacon Jim completed 4 years of study and formation for the Permanent Diaconate in the Archdiocese of Dubuque and was ordained on October 22, 2005. He is the Pastoral Associate at Holy Trinity and Sacred Heart Parishes in Dubuque, Iowa.

Kim Smith...
 spoke on "Scripture and Tradition".    
Kim Smith is a member of St. Jude parish in Cedar Rapids where she serves in a variety of ministries. Kim is an RCIA catechist, a lector at Mass, and she teaches classes on the Catechism of the Catholic Church and developing a relationship with God. Kim is also pursuing a Master's Degree in Theology at Loras College in Dubuque.

Fr. Michael Podhajsky...
 spoke on "Mary and the Saints".     
Fr. Podhajsky was ordained to the priesthood for the Archdiocese of Dubuque in May of 2003. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Spanish from St. Pius X Seminary and a Master's degee in Theology from the Theological College of the Catholic University of America. Father Podhajsky is currently assigned as the Associate Pastor at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Dubuque and as Sacramental Priest for the St. La Salle Pastorate in northen Dubuque County (Balltown, Holy Cross, Luxemburg, Sherrill, Rickardsville).

Fr. Nick March...
 spoke on "Peter and the Papacy".     
Fr. March was ordained to the priesthood for the Archdiocese of Dubuque in June of 2004. He is a native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa where he attended Regis High School. He obtained a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from Loras College and spent his seminary years at the North American College in Rome. Father March is currently assigned as the Associate Pastor at Resurrection Parish in Dubuque.
