Relationships Restored: Penance and Indulgence

Faith in Jesus Christ involves a confession of belief in a merciful God who became one of us for the forgiveness of sins. In that context we confess our sinfulness, grateful for the promise of mercy in the sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation. Thankfully God also affords us the opportunity to address the damage due to our sins in this life, through the gift of indulgences, so that our union with God upon death might be swift. Together we will consider the gift of the sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation and how indulgences manifest the grace found within it.
