The Universal Call to Holiness

God has always been calling mankind to holiness. Vatican Council II clearly expressed how this calling is a mission for all people regardless of their state in life. In spite of our failings that make perfection seem unattainable we are called to continually strive to achieve perfect holiness. This calling leads us to active participation in the Year of Faith and the New Evangelization. We will explore Sacred Scripture and documents of Vatican II to show how our journey of life must always be in pursuit of perfect holiness and complete union with God.

Suggested readings from Vatican II: numbers refer to the article numbers in the documents.
